Terms and Conditions

1. RESERVATION DEPOSIT AND SECURITY DEPOSIT: Up to 30 days before departure; A deposit of 25% of the total rental price or $250.00, which ever is greater, is payable at the time of your reservation. The reservation deposit applies to your rental payment. Within 30 days before departure; Reservations made within 30 days before departure require immediate payment.  A minimum security deposit of $ 500 is due in advance of or on the day of delivery. Payment for the security deposit must be made with an accepted credit card in the renters’ name. The security deposit is an authorization on your credit card account, and charges will only be assessed from the security deposit if there are any other charges such as but not limited to extra mileage, additional use time, fuel refill charges, additional generator use, cleaning, or other damages. Reservation deposit for certain rentals/events will be changed with no notification and rental deposits for special events may require a larger reservation deposit but the renter will be informed of the amount before charged. All rental deposits are not refundable but will be honored for a period of 1 year from day of cancellation letter is received.

2. RENTAL PAYMENT: All rental charges must be paid in advance of or on the day you come to pick up your RV. We accept cash, American Express, Discover, VISA and MasterCard. Personal checks, company checks and cashiers checks are not accepted unless presented well in advance giving time to clear the bank prior to pick-up. checks must be drawn on a North American bank payable to CamperRentalsUSA. Bank service charges are the responsibility of the paying party. Without payment in "full" the RV will not be released to the customer. If payments are not received when due, CamperRentalsUSA reserves the right to cancel the reservation without notice. Payments in U.S. currency Local Taxes are due and payable in addition to the rental and/or purchase price. Taxes change during the year without prior notice. AMEX, Discover, VISA and Master/Euro-Cards are accepted

3. CANCELLATION POLICY: Cancellations must to be made in writing.  NO REFUNDS!!! However, there is no fee to reschedule your vacation barring availabillity of the same class RV unit for the rescheduled dates.  The credited refund will be valid up to 1 year of the original reservation date. 

4. IDENTIFICATION: Proper identification, employment, credit references, and a valid driver's license with photo must be presented when picking up a vehicle. All information will be verified. The person named on the reservation application must be at least 25 years of age and is the only person authorized to sign the rental agreement and drive the vehicle off our property.

5. ADDITIONAL DRIVERS: All additional drivers must be at least 25 years of age and present at the time of pick-up with a valid driver's license with a photo. Additional drivers must also be named on the insurance policy or binder.

6. RENTAL PERIOD: Each overnight period counts as one day. Unless other arrangements are made, pick-up or departure time is between 1:00 and 5:00 p.m. and the vehicle must be returned between 9:00 and 11:00 a.m. on the return date. Unless previous arrangements have been made, you will be charged $25 for every hour the vehicle is returned late. Late charges begin at 11:01 a.m. on the return date. Other people may be waiting for the vehicle. Please contact our office if you are delayed. We can make arrangements for late returns subject to availability

7. MILEAGE: Our rental rates Do not include mileage. 500 mile packages are available at a cost of $161.25. Mileage packages must be prepaid before departure. Excess miles are charged at $0.45 per mile. Prepaid miles will not be refunded.

8. FUEL: Gasoline tanks are released full and must be returned full. If not, there will be a refueling charge of $25 plus the cost of the fuel.

9. CLEANING: In order to make your vacation more hassle-free, we offer a pre-paid cleaning and dumping packages. If you do not purchased the pre-paid cleaning and dumping package, and the vehicle is returned substantially less clean than when rented, or if the cleaning package is purchased and an unusual amount of cleaning is needed a reasonable fee to clean the Vehicle will be charged.

10. DUMPING: Unless you have purchased a pre-paid cleaning and dumping package, a dumping fee of $75each will be charged if the Vehicle's waste or holding tanks have not been drained by you prior to return of the Vehicle.

11. GENERATOR USAGE: Most vehicles are equipped with onboard 110 volt AC generators use is $3 per hour. Portable generators are also available for travel trailers without an onboard generator for $33 per day. Note: Generators will not operate when the fuel level is near or below ¼ tank. Due to the variation in operating conditions we will not be held fully responsible for vapor lock of generator engines or other problems caused by operator error, weather and internal electronics.

12. PROPANE: All vehicles are delivered with full tanks and the customer is expected to return the RV with full tanks or will be charged for the refueling plus a service fee per tank.

13. Insurance and Liability for Damage Accidental Damage Covered by Insurance Motor vehicle accident Vehicle theft Vandalism Fire Windshield and glass damage Note: There is a US $1,500.00 deductible for all Accidental Damages. Deductible applies per accident or damage and not per rental! In the case of Class A motor homes the deductible is $2500. Damage NOT covered by Insurance Negligent Damage. Customer assumes unlimited responsibility for Negligent Damage. "Negligent Damage" refers to accidents caused as a result of Driver's negligence and includes but is not limited to: Accidents occurring off public roads. Accidents occurring while backing up or parking. Damage above windshield caused by striking overhead objects, undercarriage damage (including tires and wheels). All damages to slide-out and awnings. Damage caused by freezing of the vehicle's systems (it is not permitted to fill water- and/or waste tanks when temperatures are below freezing - please see Winterization). Deliberate or willful damage caused by renter or guests. Interior damages caused by renter or guests. Failure to maintain all fluid levels. Driving under the influence of alcohol, drugs or other controlled substances. Traveling in restricted areas. Carrying more passengers than having seat belts available. Failure to use specified fuel. Operation by anyone under 25 years of age unless approved by CamperRentalsUSA. Damages and accidents caused during breach of rental contract or use of rented vehicle for illegal activities. Notes: No coverage is provided for travelers and their belongings in the rented RV under either policy. Liability Insurance Included in the Daily Rental Rate Public Liability Insurance to cover accidents in the event that the Renter is at fault. The policy protects the Renter/Driver to Statutory Limits (State mandated minimum liability coverage). Liability coverage is applicable in the state where the accident occurred and current limits can be found at the following website www.mbainsurance.net/liability_limits.php Supplemental Liability Insurance (Optional) Supplemental Liability Insurance (SLI) may be purchased for an additional fee. SLI provides the customer and any authorized driver on the rental contract with an increased limit of liability protection for up to US $1,000,000 toward 3rd party damage claims.

14. OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS: Complete operating instructions will be given at the time of departure. This will take approximately 1-2 hours. We provide you with a copy of the CamperRentalsUSA Operating Manual to assist you with driving the RV and instructions on how all the systems operate.

15. ROADSIDE ASSISTANCE: For motor home rentals, our roadside assistance provider is available to you 24-7, 365 days a year for all technical assistance and any problems you may encounter. Call us at 805-641-4100 for assistance with how to operate any of the systems and for any problems with the rented vehicle.

16. TOWING: Towing is allowed with selected units for an additional charge of $50 per rental plus $.15 per mile. The weight of the item being towed must be within the legal limits of the vehicle. We reserve the right to restrict towing privileges.

18. PETS: Yes, pets are allowed for a one time non-refundable pet fee. The vehicle must be returned in the same condition as you received it, free of pet hair and pet odor. If cleaning is required to remote pet hair and pet odor, you will be charged accordingly.

19. SMOKING: Smoking is strictly forbidden in all vehicles. If the vehicle is returned with a smoke odor a cleaning fee will be charged. Costs for cleaning and deodorizing will vary but could be up to $500.

20. ROOF ACCESS: Roof access is strictly forbidden. The roofing material is fragile, and can be damaged easily.

21. Insurance and Liability for Damage

Fire Note: There is a  $1500 Class C, and $2500 Class A deductible for all Accidental Damages. Deductible applies per accident or damage and not per rental!

Renter is responsible for loss of rental days while motor home is being repaired in the case of Insurance claim

Negligent Damage. Customer assumes unlimited responsibility for Negligent Damage.

"Negligent Damage" refers to accidents caused as a result of Driver's negligence and includes but is not limited to:

  • Accidents occurring off public roads.
  • Accidents occurring while backing up or parking.
  • Windshield and glass damage.
  • Damage above windshield caused by striking overhead objects, undercarriage damage (including tires and wheels).
  • All damages to slide-out and awnings, as well as tire damage and blow-outs.
  • Damage caused by freezing of the vehicle's systems (it is not permitted to fill water- and/or waste tanks when temperatures are below freezing - please see Winterization).
  • Deliberate or willful damage caused by renter or guests.
  • Interior damages caused by renter or guests.
  • Failure to maintain all fluid levels.
  • Driving under the influence of alcohol, drugs or other controlled substances.
  • Traveling in restricted areas.
  • Carrying more passengers than having seat belts available.
  • Failure to use specified fuel.
  • Operation by anyone under 25 years of age unless approved by CamperRentalsUSA.
  • Damages and accidents caused during breach of rental contract or use of rented vehicle for illegal activities.

Notes: No coverage is provided for travelers and their belongings in the rented RV under either policy.

22. WEBSITE QUOTES: Quotes given by our automated system may deviate from current pricing. Prices are not binding until confirmed by CamperrentalsUSA staff.

23. Supplemental Liability Insurance (Optional): Supplemental Liability Insurance (SLI) may be purchased for an additional fee. SLI protects against third party claims for bodily injury and property damage up to $1,000,000 caused during permitted use of the vehicle, and it is available through MBA Insurance at a cost of $9.95 per day. We recommend that you purchase this additional coverage online at www.RVsli.com.

24. RESTRICTED AREAS: Vehicles are restricted from operating in Death Valley and other desert areas during hot periods (May 1st to October 31st). The renter will be held liable for all damages to the vehicle, tires, towing charges, and all other related expenses as a result of a breakdown associated with operating in these areas. Vehicles are restricted to paved roads and highways. If the renter takes the vehicle "off road" and there is a breakdown of any kind, the renter is responsible for the extra towing and other fees. Do not take the vehicle to Mexico. The vehicle is not insured for travel in Mexico and traveler's assistance is not available there. Alaska: Traveling within Alaska, Yukon and/or NWT is permitted. CamperRentalsUSA must be advised at the time of reservation. Winterization: It is not possible to use the water-/waste systems during this time or when outside temperatures are below freezing! Other: Inner Cities of New York City, NY as well as Montreal and Quebec City in Canada are not permitted. No insurance coverage for vehicle theft in Montreal and Quebec City!

25. ILLEGAL AND IMPROPER USE: You agree that the vehicle will not be used in violation of any law and further agrees to hold CamperRentalsUSA harmless from all fines and penalties levied for violation of any traffic laws. In the event the vehicle is seized or impounded, you shall continue to be responsible for rental charges until the vehicle is returned, pursuant to the terms of this agreement. You agree to indemnity and hold CamperRentalsUSA harmless from any and all losses and expenses resulting from seizure or impounding. You also agree that the following are breaches of the rental agreement and you are then responsible for any loss due to your breach:

a. Intentional, willful, wanton or reckless conduct.

b. Operation of the vehicle while under the influence of drugs or alcohol.

c. Operation of the vehicle on an unpaved road if the damage or loss is a direct result of the road or driving conditions.

d. Used for commercial hire.

e. Used in connection with conduct that could properly be charged as a felony.

f. Involved in a speed test or contest.

g. Operated by a person other than an authorized driver.

h. Operated outside the lower 48 states or Canada.

i. If you provide false information to us and we would not have rented the vehicle to you if instead we had received true information.

26. MECHANICAL FAILURES: For motor home rentals, you are responsible for checking the engine oil, fluids, coolant level and tire pressure at each refueling, Customers may be held responsible for mechanical damage due to negligence in vehicle operation or failure to provide normal maintenance. as well as reporting mechanical failures immediately. Renter is responsible for ensuring that the motor home is not loaded beyond its gross vehicle weight rating (which can lead to tire failure or other problems). In the event of a mechanical failure, the renter is required to first contact our 24 hour roadside service provider for advice and technical assistance by calling 1-805-641-4100, camperrentalsusa at its sole discretion, agrees to repair, to have repaired, or make every reasonable effort to replace the motor home. You acknowledge the possibility of mechanical failure and/or breakdown and further acknowledge that said mechanical failure and/or breakdown is an inherent risk associated with the operation of said motor home o, that it is beyond the control of CamperRentalsUSA and does not a result in an act of negligence and/or omission on the part of the CamperRentalsUSA. You agree that in all cases of mechanical malfunction of the motor home, you will immediately notify our roadside assistance provider by telephone and will follow instructions regarding any and all repair work. We will only be responsible for any repairs up to $100 per rental if said repair charges have not been authorized by the company. You must provide a receipt for any such repairs to be reimbursed. CamperRentalsUSA is not liable for your expenses due to unforeseen breakdowns beyond our control. You may be held responsible for mechanical damage due to negligence in RV operation or failure to provide normal maintenance. In the event the RV is in breakdown repair for 12 hours or more through no fault of yours, our responsibility to is; If Renter's motor home vacation is interrupted by an automotive mechanical breakdown for more than 12 working hours after reporting such to CamperRentalsUSA, the Renter will be reimbursed for the greater of: (i) the gross daily rate or: (ii) expenses for hotel rooms up to US $ 25.00 per person per night and car rental up to US $50.00 per day per motor home to a maximum of US $1,000.00 per tour. Receipts for all incurred expenses must be presented for refund. It is also agreed that radio, automatic step, air conditioning, refrigerator, microwave, TV, DVD, VCR, appliances, cruise control and generator malfunctions are not considered breakdowns.

27a. ACCIDENT and Violations: If involved in an accident, you must notify CamperRentals within 24 hours. For accidents involving more than $500 in damage, The customer must obtain a local police report as provided by the attending police officer investigating the accident. An accident report form is supplied to the customer and is located in the RV along with the registration and insurance papers. CamperRentalsUSA must be notified as soon as possible. A full-written report along with the other party's name, address, phone number, insurance information and driver's license number on the supplied accident report form will be required upon return of the RV. Damage and accident scene pictures should be taken and provided if at all possible. All documents relating to the accident must include a police report number or identifying number. Insurance coverage may be void if the above instructions are not followed. Parking/Traffic Violations/Toll Violations: Customers are responsible for reporting and payment of all parking/traffic violations at rental termination. Non-reporting of parking/traffic violations breaches the Rental Contract and may result in an administrative charge of up to $250 in addition to fines to the client’s credit card. a full written police accident report must be submitted to CamperRentalsUSA upon your return. Failure to comply will result in forfeiture of your security deposit.

27b. DAMAGES: Renter accepts responsibility for $1500 deductible per occurrence for physical damage to the vehicle. In the case of Class A motor homes, the deductible is $2500.

28. RENTER'S PROPERTY: We shall at no time be responsible for the loss, destruction or damage of any personal property of yours or any of your passengers carried on the vehicle and you agree to indemnity and make us harmless from any claim with respect to such property.

29. REPLACEMENT VEHICLE: We reserve the right to replace the vehicle with another vehicle of similar size or larger if the reserved vehicle is not available. If no other vehicle is available, all fees will be refunded. We cannot be held liable for any other costs incurred by you.

30. TERMS AND RATES SUBJECT TO CHANGE WITHOUT NOTICE. Any additional terms will be disclosed when the rental agreement is signed. We reserve the right to refuse any applicant.
